This month we visit another of those pub/restaurants you may well have noticed but driven by. A family run business taken over last Autumn with some ambitious ideas and regular new events. We feel sure you will enjoy trying out this new venue.

On Wednesday 27th March 2019 we will be supporting the local charity
Minstead Trust / Furzey Gardens

Established in 1986, Minstead Trust is a charity that provides training and support to over 200 adults with learning disabilities every week across Hampshire, Southampton and Portsmouth. Their vision is that adults with a learning disability achieve independence, lead fulfilled lives and live as full citizens in our society. They focus upon developing work skills, life skills and improving health and well-being. They do this by offering the following support and services:-

* Day Opportunities in the New Forest and Portsmouth.
* Residential and Respite Care at Minstead Lodge.
* Community-based supported living.
* Drop in Friendship and Advice Groups providing support to people who might otherwise fall through the net of the traditional support networks in Totton and Hythe and Skill Up Centres providing a support programme focusing on improving individuals’ skills in areas such as communication, drama and healthy eating in Eastleigh, Romsey and Totton.
*Social Enterprise activities providing work experience and employment opportunities at Furzey Gardens, Minstead Lodge Hospitality and Hanger Farm Art Centre.



Your ticket for our March 2019 dinner will cost £28.00 per person.
(This includes your travel to the restaurant, a Two Course Dinner and tips for our driver and the restaurant staff)

Booking Cut-Off Time

We need to receive your booking, menu choices and payment by early evening on:
Wednesday 20th March 2019
Please try not to leave it until this date as we may be fully booked.


Tickets will be allocated on a first booked and paid basis.
It may be necessary to return bookings if received after we have sold out. It would be a good idea to enquire first before sending
your booking/payment the nearer we get to the 20th March 2018
(If tickets remain unsold, later bookings may be accepted depending upon how near we are to the 27th March and whether the restaurant will
accept more bookings.)

IMPORTANT: We cannot guarantee any refunds for late cancellations, after the 20th March, unless we have diners on a waiting list
who will not only take the place but also the menu choices you made.

Main Course:

[HADDOCK] Battered Haddock, mushy peas, proper chips and tartare sauce.

[LASAGNE] Beef lasagne with salad garnish and garlic bread.

[SAUSAGES] Trio of locally sourced pork sausages with bubble and squeak, red wine gravy and crispy shallots. 

[CHICKEN] Chicken breast stuffed with sun blushed tomatoes and Brie, wrapped in Parma Ham served with new potatoes and asparagus accompanied with a creamy white wine sauce.
[PIE] Steak and Ale pie served with mash and peas (puff pastry) 

[VEGETARIAN] Vegetable lasagne with salad garnish and garlic bread. [V]


[CRUMBLE] Apple Crumble served with custard.
[BROWNIE] Chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream.

[CHEESECAKE] Lemon and lime cheesecake served with champagne sorbet. 

[ETONMESS] Eton Mess. 

[STICKYTOFFEE] Sticky toffee pudding served with custard. 

[MOUSSE] Chocolate orange mousse with Buck’s Fizz sorbet. 

Coach Pickup Points:

We have arranged the following pickup points on the evening. We hope these will be near to most peoples houses.
Some times and pickup points may be added or removed according to who is coming on the evening.


The above times are estimates. Please try to be at your pickup point 5 minutes before the listed time as we are often ahead of time.
Can you please make sure that we have your mobile phone number when booking and that you have your phone with you and
switched on once you have left your house. We will make our contact phone number available to you in case of emergency.
