Local Dining Out Group July Dinner

We will be dining at The New Queen, Ringwood Road at Avon


The New Queen is an old building named after Queen Victoria, situated halfway between Ringwood and Christchurch on the B3347 in the small village of Avon. Inside the New Queen has a fresh look with leather sofas and arm chairs plus butcher’s tables which are used mostly by larger parties. Inside is open plan with no separate dining room, leaded windows, a real fire and a gas log burner. The extension was very sympathetically done keeping it as a traditional English country pub with original beams and features. It is virtually impossible to tell the old part from the new. There are two entrances, plus double doors out onto the decking area. They offer high quality food, freshly prepared and cooked to order, which is served from a main menu with coeliac and children's menus available.

Situated on the edge of the New Forest, in the old market town of Fordingbridge on the Hampshire Avon, our small museum is housed on two floors of an old granary and is run by volunteers.

Your ticket for our August 2018 dinner will cost £27.00 per person.
(This includes your travel to the restaurant, a Two Course Dinner and tips for our driver and the restaurant staff)

Booking Cut-Off Time

We need to receive your booking, menu choices and payment by early evening on:
Wednesday 15th August 2018
Please try not to leave it until this date as we may be fully booked.


Tickets will be allocated on a first booked and paid basis.
It may be necessary to return bookings if received after we have sold out. It would be a good idea to enquire first before sending
your booking/payment the nearer we get to the 15th August 2018
(If tickets remain unsold, later bookings may be accepted depending upon how near we are to the 22nd August and whether the restaurant will
accept more bookings.)

IMPORTANT: We cannot guarantee any refunds for late cancellations, after the 15th August, unless we have diners on a waiting list
who will not only take the place but also the menu choices you made.

[VEGETARIAN] Tagliatelle with Olives, Tomato, Feta Cheese, Spinach & Basil Pesto.


[ETONMESS] Eton Mess consisting of a mixture of strawberries, broken meringue, and whipped double cream.

[CHEESECAKE] Raspberry & White Chocolate Cheesecake with Honeycomb and a Berry Compote.

[BROWNIE] Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream.

[CRUMBLE] Apple & Plum Crumble with Custard.

[STICKYTOFFEE] Sticky Toffee Pudding with ‘Purbeck’ Salted Caramel Ice Cream.

[ICECREAM] Three scoops of ‘Purbeck’ Vanilla Ice Cream.

Some times and pickup points may be added or removed according to who is coming on the evening.


The above times are estimates. Please try to be at your pickup point 5 minutes before the listed time as we are often ahead of time.
