Local Dining Out Group January Dinner
in the evening on

We will be dining at The Royal Oak, North Gorley, Fordingbridge

       

Once a Royal Hunting Lodge, the Royal Oak is a delightful 17th Century Inn, near Fordingbridge, nestled in the heart of the New Forest. The Royal Oak sits in the picturesque village of North Gorley, amongst its grazing donkeys and ponies, opposite the village duck pond. It is renowned by locals and visitors alike, for serving high quality, classic pub food, a wonderful array of cask ales and a warm hospitality.

Local Dining Out Group Monthly Charity Raffle:
 


We will be supporting The Sarah Kinsley Fund with the proceeds from our January raffle.

Sarah Kinsley Fund was founded in the late 1970's by a group of friends who wanted to raise money to support a teenager, Sarah Kinsley, who had kidney failure. Sarah died, sadly, but a charity was founded in her memory to create a permanent source of help for children and young adults with special needs.

The Sarah Kinsley Fund can assist with the purchase of special equipment or services that are not available from the National Health Service or Department of Education or other statutory body

Price:

Your ticket for our January 2018 dinner will cost £28.00 per person.
(This includes your travel to the restaurant, a Two Course Dinner and tips for our driver and the restaurant staff)

Booking Cut-Off Time

We need to receive your booking, menu choices and payment by early evening on:
Wednesday 10th January 2018
Please try not to leave it until this date as we may be fully booked.

Tickets

Tickets will be allocated on a first booked and paid basis. Our tickets will be limited to around 30 because of the size of the restaurant.
It may be necessary to return bookings if received after we have sold out. It would be a good idea to enquire first before sending your booking/payment the nearer we get to the 10th January 2018
(If tickets remain unsold, later bookings may be accepted depending upon how near we are to the 17th January and whether the restaurant will accept more bookings.)
IMPORTANT: We cannot guarantee any refunds for late cancellations, after the 10th January, unless we have diners on a waiting list
who will not only take the place but also the menu choices you made.

[GAMMON] Cobley Wood Gammon Steak served with a brace of Fried Eggs, Garden Peas & Triple Cooked Chips.

[PIE] Chicken & Mushroom Pie, served with Gravy, Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables.

[TAGINE] Sweet Potato and Cannellini Bean Tagine, served with Coriander Cous Cous. [V]

[HAKE] Steamed Fillet of Hake, served on New Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables and a Lobster Sauce.  

[CHICKEN] Supreme of Corn-Fed Chicken, with Boulangerie Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables & a Red Wine Jus.

[SALMON] Smoked Salmon & Crayfish Salad with New Potatoes and Marie Rose Sauce.

[CHOCOLATE] Marbled Chocolate Cheesecake with a Raspberry Compote.

[ICECREAM] Selection of Ice Creams served in a Waffle Cone.

[CHEESE/BISC] Trio of Cheeses with Crackers, Marinated Grapes and a Port Jelly.

[SPICED] Spiced Orange & Cranberry Cheesecake with a Vanilla Anglaise.

[BRULEE] Baileys Brulee with Shortbread Biscuits.

[MERINGUE] Winter Fruits Meringue Nest.

Some times and pickup points may be added or removed according to who is coming on the evening.

Can you please make sure that we have your mobile phone number when booking and that you have your phone with you and switched on once you have left your house.
