Local Dining Out Group March Dinner

Wednesday 26th April 2017

We will be dining at The Royal Oak, North Gorley, Fordingbridge

       

Once a Royal Hunting Lodge, the Royal Oak is a delightful 17th Century Inn, near Fordingbridge, nestled in the heart of the New Forest. The Royal Oak sits in the picturesque village of North Gorley, amongst its grazing donkeys and ponies, opposite the village duck pond. It is renowned by locals and visitors alike, for serving high quality, classic pub food, a wonderful array of cask ales and a warm hospitality.

Local Dining Out Group Monthly Charity Raffle:
 

Our chosen charity for April is Tool Aid Ringwood. Tool Aid Ringwood (TAR) takes in tools and other items to refurbish. These are sent via other charities, which have arrangements in place to create sustainable businesses in some of the poorest areas of the world. Tool Aid Ringwood is run by unpaid volunteers. Rent and running costs are met through donations, the sale of donated tools unsuitable to be sent out, or the sale of scrap from items beyond economic repair.

Price:

Your ticket for our April 2017 dinner will cost £27.00 per person.
(This includes your travel to the restaurant, a Two Course Dinner and tips for our driver and the restaurant staff)

Booking Cut-Off Time

We need to receive your booking, menu choices and payment by early evening on:
Wednesday 19th April 2017
Please try not to leave it until this date as we may be fully booked.

Tickets

Tickets will be allocated on a first booked and paid basis.
It may be necessary to return bookings if received after we have sold out. It would be a good idea to enquire first before sending your booking/payment the nearer we get to the 19th April 2017
(If tickets remain unsold, later bookings may be accepted depending upon how near we are to the 26th April and whether the restaurant will accept more bookings.)
IMPORTANT: We cannot guarantee any refunds for late cancellations, after the 15th March, unless we have diners on a waiting list
who will not only take the place but also the menu choices you made.

[PORK] Crisp Belly Pork with Mashed Potato, Braised Cabbage & Cider Jus.

[CHICKEN]
Supreme of Chicken with Green Beans, Duchess Potatoes (a purée of mashed potato and egg yolk,
salt, pepper, and nutmeg) and a Romesco Sauce (nut & red pepper-based sauce)

[PIE] Chicken & Mushroom Pie with Seasonal Vegetables and Mashed Potato.

[GAMMON] 8oz Gammon Steak with a brace of Eggs, Garden Peas and Triple Cooked Chips.

[PARCEL] Mediterranean Vegetable Filo Parcel with Seasonal Vegetables, New Potatoes and a Tomato Fondue.

[TROUT] Roast Fillet of Rockbourne Trout with Seasonal Vegetables, New Potatoes and a Basil Dressing.


Dessert
[ICE CREAM] Vanilla Ice Cream (3 scoops) served with a Chocolate Stick, Strawberry and Mint Garnish.

[CHEESECAKE] Raspberry Cheesecake with a White Chocolate Sauce.

[BROWNIE] Chocolate Fudge Brownie with a White Chocolate Ice Cream.

[CHEESE/BISC] Trio of Cheeses – Somerset Camembert, Dorset Blue & Coastal Cheddar accompanied with
a selection of Biscuits & Chutney.

[STICKYTOFFEE] Sticky Toffee Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream and a Toffee Sauce.  

[BRULEE] Vanilla Brulee with a Shortbread Biscuit.
