Local Dining Out Group June Dinner

Wednesday 19th July 2017

We will be dining at The New Queen, Ringwood Road, Avon

       

The New Queen is an old building named after Queen Victoria, situated halfway between Ringwood and Christchurch on the B3347 in the small village of Avon. Inside The New Queen has a fresh look with leather sofas and arm chairs plus butchers tables which are used mostly by larger parties.
Inside is open plan with no separate dining room, leaded windows, a real fire and a gas log burner. The extension was very sympathetically done keeping it as a traditional English country pub with original beams and features. It is virtually impossible to tell the old part from the new. There are two entrances, plus double doors out onto the decking area. They offer high quality food, freshly prepared and cooked to order, which is served
from a main menu with coeliac and children's menus available.

Local Dining Out Group Monthly Charity Raffle:
 

We will be supporting Project Uganda with our raffle in July 2017.  Project Uganda started as a millennium project in 2000. Winterslow, Firsdown and Lopcomb Corner decided that they would like a community link with a third world country. Uganda was the country that was chosen and they have gone from strength to strength.

Project Uganda is a UK registered charity that commenced in the year 2000.  It currently operates a portfolio of projects in the Rukungiri District, South-West Uganda. During the charity's infancy it focused on the development of Gables Vocational Training Centre.  Since 2008 the focus has changed and developed to provide Health and Welfare, and Agricultural projects across a much larger area helping thousands of people.

Price:

Your ticket for our July 2017 dinner will cost £26.00 per person.
(This includes your travel to the restaurant, a Two Course Dinner and tips for our driver and the restaurant staff)

Booking Cut-Off Time

We need to receive your booking, menu choices and payment by early evening on:
Wednesday 12th July 2017
Please try not to leave it until this date as we may be fully booked.

Tickets

Tickets will be allocated on a first booked and paid basis.
It may be necessary to return bookings if received after we have sold out. It would be a good idea to enquire first before sending
your booking/payment the nearer we get to the 12th July 2017
(If tickets remain unsold, later bookings may be accepted depending upon how near we are to the 19th July and whether the restaurant will
accept more bookings.)

IMPORTANT: We cannot guarantee any refunds for late cancellations, after the 14th June, unless we have diners on a waiting list
who will not only take the place but also the menu choices you made.

[GAMMON] Sliced Gammon Ham, Eggs and Chips, with a Salad Garnish.
