Join us for our next Local Dining Out Evening at The White Hart, Bishopstone, Salisbury
on Wednesday 24th February 2016

Location:   The White Hart at Bishopstone, Salisbury
The White Hart is situated in the Heart of Bishopstone near Salisbury Racecourse, just a quick journey turning off the A354 Salisbury to Blandford at Coombe Bissett. It is a traditional 18th century family pub and restaurant run by Greg, Tom & Zara. It has a lovely large beer garden and children’s play area. During the winter there are three real fires to keep you cosy while you dine.

Most of the main floor area inside The White Hart is given over to a very comfortable restaurant. We found this restaurant very cosy with a lovely atmosphere on our last Local Dining Out Dinner there in February 2015. The service provided by the owners was really good and we were made extremely welcome, hence our return this year. That's without talking about the marvellous home-cooked food!!

Herrington's Coach Door to Door
We have arranged pick up points as near as possible to where you live, more can be added. Our coach will be from Herrington's Coaches, the coach size will depend upon ticket sales. Our first pick up point is in Sandleheath then through to
Downton. (picture is not of the exact coach expected)


Drinks: .   Buy your drinks at the bar on arrival
The White Hart will normally have Doombar and Long Blonde beers, also Shasrps Atlantic may be available. The bar is strategically placed as you enter the building, walking through to the dining area. Wine, cider, spirits and soft drinks are available, also tea/coffee later on in the evening. Please remember to pay for your drinks as you go during the evening. Wine List.

Menu Choices
Well, don't miss this one! You're in for a treat! We have 8 main menu choices and six dessert choices. Pork, Chicken, Lamb, Salmon, Steak & Guiness Pie, plus two vegetarian options one of which is a vegetarian curry. Desserts, well spoilt for choice. The cheesecake was excellent last year, see picture left. Tea and Coffee will be available for you to buy after your Dessert. (see full menu choices below)

Charity Raffle
We continue to raise money for the Shelter Box charity which supports emergency aid to places in the World which have been suddenly struck by natural disaster. You can read more about this on their website. The idea and target is for us to raise £590 for a 'New Start' box. We will be able to track and monitor where our box is used. Our January raffle raised £48.10, making a good start to our target.Link to Shelter Box website

Your ticket for our February 2016 dinner will cost £24.00 per person covering your two course dinner and the travel by coach.

[LAMB Tender English Hampshire Lamb Shank slowly cooked in a Mint & Redcurrant Jus Served with Mash Potato
& Braised Red Cabbage

[SALMON] Poached Salmon Fillet with Asparagus & King Prawns served with New Potatoes & Hollandaise Sauce.

[TART] Caramelised Red Onion & Goats Cheese Filo Tart served with Minted Crushed New Potatoes & Mixed Leaf Salad.

[CURRY] Vegetable Balti Curry (Roasted Chunks of Seasonal Root Vegetables slowly cooked in a Tomato, Cumin & Coriander
Aromatic Spiced Sauce) served with Basmati Rice & Naan Bread.

If you cannot travel by coach but would like to join us at The White Hart, you are welcome to use your own car to get there.
Your ticket price will remain the same, as if using the coach, unless we fill the 31 seater coach. Then we can offer a further deal.
