Local Dining Out Group Event Notification

Join us for our Christmas Local Dining Out Evening at The White Hart at Bishopstone, Salisbury.
on Wednesday
21st December 2016

Location:  

The White Hart at Bishopstone, Salisbury
The White Hart is situated in the Heart of Bishopstone near Salisbury Racecourse, just a quick journey turning off the A354 Salisbury to Blandford at Coombe Bissett. It is a traditional 18th century family pub and restaurant run by Tom & Zara. It has a lovely large beer garden and children’s play area. During the winter there are three real fires to keep you cosy while you dine. We last visited The White Hart on 24th February 2016.

Dining:   Restaurant
Most of the main floor area inside The White Hart is given over to a very comfortable restaurant. We found this restaurant very cosy with a lovely atmosphere on our previous Local Dining Out Dinners. As this is our Christmas Dinner we will be organising a table and seating plan. Please indicate on your booking form if you would like us to seat you with other particular guests. We will do our best to accomodate but we may not be able to guarantee all requests. Your ticket, which you will receive on the evening will indicate where you will be sitting. The restaurant will be fully decorated with a Christmas theme.

Travel:  

Herrington's Coach Door to Door
We have arranged to use a 53 seater coach from Herrington's Coaches. Our coach will start at the Ship in Fordingbridge at 18:05 hrs and we will take a different route via Godshill into Woodgreen. Apologies to anyone from Breamore/Burgate but the larger coach cannot enter Woodgreen over the mill bridge. We will pickup through Woodgreen then go to Hale, Woodfalls,
Morgan's Vale and Downton. Our return journey will follow the same route. Please try to be at your pickup point 5 mins before the listed time. You can read more details about use of our coach in our Terms & Conditions.


Drinks:   Buy your drinks at the bar on arrival
The bar is strategically placed as you enter the building, walking through to the dining areas. Please go to the bar after you have found your place at your table for the evening and purchase your drinks. There will be a selection of Real Ale on tap. Wine, Red, White, Rose, Sparkling, will be by the glass or the bottle, cider, spirits and soft drinks. Please remember to pay for your drinks as you go during the evening also, please let us know if you need any help getting your drinks. You will also find the toilets near to the bar and the entrance.

Menu Choices
Our Christmas Dinner is our Main Local Dining Out Event of the year and we have chosen to return to one of our favourite restaurants. As you can see from our Christmas menu below you can choose from five different Starters. It gets even better with seven Main Course choices including the seasonal favourite of Turkey with trimmings. There are some really good alternative meat choices including Lamb, Pork, Steak and Duck plus Chowder & Risotto. Everything comes with a good selection of vegetables. We have five choices of Dessert including traditional Christmas Pudding. If that's not enough we have tea/coffee plus mints to finish.(see full menu choices )


Raffle: .  

Charity Raffle
We continue in December, as our final month, supporting The RNLI charity from the proceeds of our raffle. This charity is very well known for the excellent work done protecting and saving lives around our coasts and sometimes inland when flooding occurs. This will be a bumper raffle and we will have plenty of prizes. Please dig deep and bring along all your spare notes, £2 and pound coins. We would appreciate it if anyone can see their way clear to donating any prizes and it would really help us to know in advance details (like wine colour) of your gift.

Your ticket for our Christmas 2016 dinner will cost £32.00 per person.

Booking Cut-Off Time

We need to receive your booking, menu choices and payment by early evening on:
Wednesday 14th December 2016
Please try not to leave it until this date as we may be fully booked.

Tickets

Tickets will be allocated on a first booked and paid basis.
It may be necessary to return bookings if received after we have sold out. It would be a good idea to enquire first before sending your booking/payment the nearer we get to the 14th December.
(If tickets remain unsold, later bookings may be accepted depending upon how near we are to the 21st December and whether the restaurant will accept more bookings.)
IMPORTANT: We cannot guarantee any refunds for late cancellations, after the 14th December, unless we have diners on a waiting list
who will not only take the place but also the menu choices you made.
